CEDE expands with a new project

The BE DIGITAL Forum, a new project aimed at supporting the digitalisation of Polish dentistry as well as the co-operation between dentists and dental technicians, will be a birthday surprise of the 30th anniversary edition of CEDE (22-24 September 2022, EXPO Łódź).

CEDE is the longest running exhibition in the country (since 1991). If it were not for the hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the organisation of the FDI Congress in 2016, the 30th anniversary would have been celebrated earlier. This year’s event will be special and can be described as a "2-in-1".

BE DIGITAL, is to fill the void in the common (key word!) needs of Polish dentists and technicians. The Forum, in addition to the stationary knowledge-based event, will comprise of recurring debates with experts, online platform and an annual report on the digitisation process. BE DIGITAL is to be present in the industry space on a year-round basis. The experts who have already confirmed their participation in the BE DIGITAL ADVISORY BOARD are: Prof. Teresa Sierpińska (Medical University of Białystok), Prof. Jerzy Sokołowski (Medical University of Łódź), Piotr Nagadowski (Natrodent) and Daniel Dulian (CadExpert).

– Today the question is not ”if”, but ”how” an effective digitalisation of dentistry should be carried out? Our solution: a multidimensional expert-practitioner dialogue supported by business representatives. The trigger for digitisation is human capital. Simply put – it all starts in the mindset, digitisation requires new competences. No one doubts the potential of this process, including dentistry. Digitisation gives fresh insight into the use of data and its analysis. This applies to both diagnostics and patient relations. As part of the forum, we will show that digitisation of a dental practice and a dental technology laboratory helps, among other things, to build competitiveness, improve organisation and management, and optimise costs – explain the organisers.

Each edition of BE DIGITAL will be concluded with a report, the so-called White Paper. A solid description of the current situation and a set of tasks to be implemented. The authors of the report will be: dentists, technicians, representatives of universities and schools and manufacturers of digital solutions. The subject of the report will be, among others: the relationship between doctors and technicians, tips necessary to create modern education (not only at the level of medical universities), analysis of business trends, references to the national economy, economic trick&tips, TOP examples from abroad or technology comparisons.

What does the expansion of CEDE with the BE DIGITAL Forum mean in practice?

– Above all, we believe that enthusiasts of modern trends in dentistry will come to Łódź. We address this event to the entire industry, including those who have not yet had the opportunity to fully explore the potential of digitisation. We would very much like dental technicians to be a strong group. We are not planning separate exhibitions, but certainly additional recognition will be given to the companies involved in the BE DIGITAL project. The Forum will feature formats unknown to the participants of the exhibition so far, but no one should have any concerns about the substantive level of CEDE. BE DIGIATL is not competition for CEDE, but an excellent addition to it and an answer to the industry's needs. Soon a practical educational programme will be presented, which we hope will be welcomed by the participants – announces Exactus.

The 30th edition of the Central European Dental Products Exhibition will take place in the EXPO-Łódź venue in Łódź on September 22-24. The exhibition will be accompanied by an educational programme including an American session by Bartosz Suliborski, PhD, in co-operation with practitioners from the University of Maryland and projects by the Dental Masters Group led by Dr. Grzegorz Witkowski . The 30th birthday will be marked with the recognition of 30 persons of exceptional merit for the development of CEDE.
