The 30th CEDE exhibition began on Thursday morning. The exhibition featuring 140 exhibitors from Poland and abroad was open for visitors until Saturday afternoon. The best visitor turnout was recorded on Friday. Along with the encounters at the booths, the educational part was held. The lecture halls and the stage featured training sessions within the BE DIGITAL Forum and the Dental Challenge Forum with the American session under the scientific supervision of Dr. Bartosz Suliborski.

 

 

- We are very pleased with the reception of the BE DIGITAL Forum. We received many kind words, and it was highly appreciated that it was the topic of dentistry digitization that we decided to highlight in such a way. In fact, the experts with whom the Forum participants met repeatedly highlighted that digital dentistry is not scary, but the technology purchase should - always - be accompanied by professional educational support. Only then will the improvement of productivity in the practice or laboratory become a reality, the Organizers from Exactus emphasized.

 

Participants of the debate on digital dentistry education at medical universities, initiated by Prof. Teresa Sierpinska (Medical University of Bialystok), were of a similar opinion. Representatives of the academia (Prof. Jerzy Sokolowski - Medical University of Lodz, Beata Peterson - Polish Society of Dental Technicians) and business (Piotr Nagadowski - Natrodent, Rafal Zieliński - Wellcamdent) discussed the needs of medical universities, the current trends and the competencies of graduates expected by the market and employers. The experts made it clear that digital dentistry should be an important subject for teaching both dentists and technicians. The debate can be replayed at CEDE 2022 Facebook profile.

 

 

The lectures and seminars prepared by guests from the University of Maryland (USA), invited to Łódź by Dr. Bartosz Suliborski, found many enthusiasts. - I have no doubt that the knowledge base provided will find practical use in the practices of the guests participating in the project," believes the author of the American session. The visit included a meeting with representatives of the local medical university, which promises to strengthen relations and potential cooperation in the scope of sharing experiences.

 

 

An important part of this year's CEDE exhibition was the birthday banquet at the Poznański Palace. It was not only an opportunity to reminisce, but above all to honor the winners of Stars of CEDE 2022 competition. The jury, chaired by Professor Jerzy Sokolowski (Medical University of Łódź), chose to award the following companies: Hol-Dental Depot (for Smile Lite MDP2 and ZirGloss), Nevadent (Endodontic files XP-endo Shaper + Finisher) and Atos Warsaw (Alfa Scaling – after scaling care mouthwash). The event was accompanied by a concert by Jarek Wist and his band.
